Kitchen Sink Series (2019-2021)

The Kitchen sink are photographic evidence of an action, proof of living. Or something. The kitchen sink shines a light on a Tuesday.

(Written while in process) Each day the kitchen sink draws my attention to it and surprises me with unexpected color combinations and effortless composition of randomly arranged imagery. Here I am enjoying to be the viewer and having chance make the composing for me. I am interested in the forms and colours that randomly appear there day after day, the oily soap bubbles.

It is an end station and a beginning but the boundaries get blurry. The repeatition of the work takes away the beginning and end, it is just repeating. It is a multi dimentional diary.

Clean, dirty, full, empty, estruction and reconstruction. The photographs I snap of my sink are of a fleeting moment. The food has been eaten but slightly coloured the plates, left a trace. I am interested in traces and leftovers, forms that are left after something has been cut out of wood.

There is truth in it.
